Community Director
Shirley received her MBA Degree from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Bowling Green State University, majoring in marketing.
She began her career in marketing and sales at American Greetings Corporation and served as Executive Director of Product Management leading the greeting card division before leaving to start her own consulting business. As an entrepreneur, Shirley helped small businesses with strategic planning and promotion. Later she became involved with Cleveland Scholarship Programs as Manager of Marketing and Public Relations. This was one of her most rewarding roles as she was instrumental in building the brand and donations to provide scholarships and advisory services to deserving underprivileged students. Before joining the Girl Scouts of North East Ohio, she led the marketing department at Sandridge Food Corporation where she was responsible for all branding, PR, and new product development.
Shirley is a graduate of Cleveland Bridge Builders Class of 2004 leadership organization and served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Women Business Owners. As the mother of a Girl Scout, she was an active volunteer for her daughter’s troop, PTA, currently chairs a committee for her church, and sings in the choir.
Shirley lives in Strongsville with her husband, Dan, and two children.
