Camp Lejnar

Painesville, Ohio

Camp Lejnar is located south of Lake Erie in eastern Lake County. This camp sits on 430 acres of glacial plain, with two lakes connected by a small creek. One lake is exclusively for wildlife, and the other is used for programming. A stream of hidden beauty and cool water runs through the gorge, that averages 200 feet in depth. The majority of this camp is forest covered. This camp includes winterized buildings Alice Heise, Cheraga Barn and Ruth Weigand; four one-room cabins, two platform tent sites, one ground tent site and two primitive sites with shelters. Camp Lejnar also receives the most snow in winter of all of GSNEO camps, making it ideal for your snow activities!

Alice Heise

A year-round site having a large activity room with fireplace, flush toilets, showers, loft for sleeping, kitchen with stove and refrigerator, one bedroom, covered porch with barbeque fire circle, picnic tables, hot & cold water. Capacity: 30

Cheraga Barn

A year-round site having the kitchen incorporated within a large activity room, bathroom, dorm type sleeping area, fire circle, picnic tables, and hot & cold water. Capacity: 28

Ruth Weigand Memorial Building

A year-round site composed of three separate wings which can be rented all together or separately. All sites at Ruth Weigand are handicap accessible. Total capacity of all sites: 76

Forest Grove

Four one-room seasonal cabins with water, indoor toilets. Cabins share one shelter with fire circle and latrine. Each cabin may be booked by separate groups and the shelter shared. Capacity 40 total; each cabin holds 10.
