Membership Engagement Specialist, Inside Sales – FT (Lorain)

The Member Engagement Specialist successfully culminates recruitment efforts by converting prospective members (leads) to registered and engaged members.

GSNEO will also expect this employee to follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity per established conversion time line; assist members that are navigating through “conversion  phase” by maintaining contact with girl and adult members; work closely with background check coordinator to support the background screening process for adults; stay current on trends and multi-cultural data and demographics in order to effectively sell membership opportunities; prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made in order to meet membership goal; prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, follow-up, and adherence to goals; support external recruitment efforts and finalize membership enrollment leads; follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity in a timely fashion; and utilize Girl Scouts customer relationship management system to support fulfillment of leads throughout the recruitment process for completion to close status.

The right individual will have an Associate’s degree or some college experience, in education, early childhood development, and/or a combination of work related experience of 2-4 years; 3-5 years of customer service experience; knowledge of the Girl Scout program preferred; may require travel throughout the GSNEO jurisdiction; have the ability to work flexible work week, including early hours, evenings and weekends; and a have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and access to insured vehicle in working condition.

Customer Care Specialist – FT (North Canton OH)

The Customer Care Specialist is the first point of contact for inquiries. This employee will answer incoming calls/requests; engage in problem-solving while providing solutions; and manage and respond appropriately to all inquiries including but not limited to email, phone and walk-in customers. They will assist in maintaining the contents of the GSNEO solutions library in order to supply accurate information across the board of GSNEO.

In addition to the above, GSNEO will also have the following expectations of the employee:  coordinates the opening, closing and overall supply order flow for service center; processes incoming and outgoing mail; assists with property maintenance; completes daily bank deposit per council policy; balances register at opening and closing for Unique Boutique; excellent technical computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Customer Relationship Management systems, and social networking; may need to know or be able to learn other software specific to GSUSA, including but not limited to RMS, OpSuite and Personify; excellent independent decision-making skills and strong resourcefulness; successful completion of criminal background check on annual basis; behaves and communicates in a positive and respectful way; demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize work load; may be required to assist in supporting other GSNEO Region Service centers and have the ability to work flexible work week, including early hours, evenings and weekends.

The right individual will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or a combination of related work experience, 3-5 years of customer service experience, proven office administrative experience, ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain confidentiality, knowledge of the Girl Scout program preferred, ability to meet travel requirements, including night, weekend and overnight travel, valid driver's license, proof of insurance and access to insured vehicle in working condition.

Program Facilitators (PT) - serving Akron, Canton, Cleveland, Kent, Lorain, Youngstown and Trumbull County - The Program Facilitator is a flexible position that facilitates grant funded programs to girls ages 5-17 in an assigned geographic area. This position is responsible for providing high quality experiences to girls in accordance with specific grant requirements, while extending girl membership and supporting new volunteers in Girl Scouts of North East Ohio. Program schedules vary, primarily during the school day and after school, with some evenings and weekends; most funded programs are delivered in 4-10 week series.  Program Facilitator will maintain proper documentation for measurement of program success. The right individual will have some college experience in education, child development, social work and/or a combination of work experience of 2-4 years and a record of successful program delivery; strong human relations skills such as leadership, networking, and relationship building; ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain confidentiality; is a self-starter with strong organizational skills, ability to problem solve and meet deadlines while working under pressure; communicate the written and spoken word with tact, diplomacy, and/or authority when necessary. Individual must have reliable transportation and be computer literate and have technical knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. May need to know or be able to learn other software specific to Girl Scouts.

Community Membership Executive - FT (Cuyahoga County)

The Community Membership Executive will provide a quality, customer centric and consistent experience resulting in girl and volunteer membership growth. S/He develops, retains, and increases girl/adult membership in assigned area; recruits and provides ongoing support to volunteers; assists in developing and implementing plans for membership extension in all markets; represents and extends Girl Scouting in the community through presentations, collaborative efforts, and networking; and ensures the Girl Scout Leadership Experience is accessible within assigned area.

Major Accountabilities:
Support the council's volunteer management system including the recruitment, screening, selection, placement, development, training, recognition, and reassignment of volunteers; work collaboratively with staff teams and volunteers in assigned areas to analyze membership data and set, implement, and reach membership goals; work closely with the Outside Sales team in order to implement successful recruiting functions; provide coaching and mentoring support to volunteers in order that they may provide effective delivery of the GSLE; mentor service unit teams to work effectively with girls in assigned geographic areas to ensure delivery of program and services to girls and retention of members; serve as the main point of contact, provide quality customer service, identify the need for and provide problem solving and conflict resolution to volunteers when appropriate and in a timely manner; provide the highest level of customer service to girls, parents, volunteers and community members; optimize the use of technology to support customer service for volunteers; will conduct a preliminary investigation of conflicts or other issues including finances when issues arise; ensure volunteers understand and comply with GSUSA and GSNEO policies, standards, and procedures, and comply with annual reporting, including but not limited to; maintaining active membership registration and submission of annual financial reports; prepare a variety of reports to assist the service unit team in meeting their goals and objectives; keep current on product program information and support training and messaging that is offered to service unit volunteers; provide product program team with essential service unit information to support product sales program; promote and assist with Council programs, activities, public relations and fund development endeavors including United Way; assist with the identification of council delegates as needed and encourage volunteers and girl members to participate in GSNEO evaluation process.

The right individual will hold a Bachelor's degree in related field or experience commensurate with degree and have a record of successfully developing and/or managing volunteers,  knowledge of the Girl Scout program preferred and the ability to meet travel requirements including night, weekend and overnight.
