Program Manager, Grant and Funded Initiatives (Full Time – Macedonia)
Summary: The Program Manager, Grants and Funded Initiatives aides in the development, implementation, and assessment of grant funded council program opportunities. This includes design, development, and implementation of comprehensive and strategic program segment plans that support the overall council mission. The manager oversees part time Program Assistants in the delivery of grant funded program. The incumbent works closely with regional managers, the Manager of Research and Evaluation, and the Senior Grants Manager. The manager shares responsibility for the cohesive and dynamic delivery of those programs that will deliver Girl Scouting to the largest number of girls across multiple segments in the council.
Accountabilities: Develops, implements, and evaluates program activities based on Girl Scout Pathways for registered girl members; works with the Assistant Director of Programs and the Senior Grants Manager to develop budget and grant requests and implementation plans; supervises program outcomes based on the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and the council’s operating plan; supervises part time cadre of Program Assistants to deliver programs; provides leadership to program work throughout the GSNEO Regional Service Centers; advising staff, volunteers/committees of grant funded programs designed to support registered girl members; ensures that diversity and pluralism is embraced and incorporated into the work of the council; has knowledge of GSUSA handbooks, guidelines, ACA standards and council policies, as well as Girl Scout Mission and Council Plan of Work; upholds the council Customer Service policy and strives to ensure that all GSNEO customers receive superior service; performs other duties as assigned to promote the successful implementation of GSNEO’s goals/objectives.
Requirements: The right individual will hold a Bachelor’s degree in related field or experience commensurate with degree; supervisory/leadership experience with a minimum of 3-5 years of work experience; record of successfully developing and/or managing volunteers; youth-oriented program background a plus; ability to meet travel requirements including night, weekend and overnight.
Community Membership Executive (2 positions)

Summary: The Community Membership Executive will provide a quality, customer centric and consistent experience resulting in girl and volunteer membership growth.
Accountabilities: S/He develops, retains, and increases girl/adult membership in assigned area; recruits and provides ongoing support to volunteers; assists in developing and implementing plans for membership extension in all markets; represents and extends Girl Scouting in the community through presentations, collaborative efforts, and networking; and ensures the Girl Scout Leadership Experience is accessible within assigned area. Support the council's volunteer management system including the recruitment, screening, selection, placement, development, training, recognition, and reassignment of volunteers; work collaboratively with staff teams and volunteers in assigned areas to analyze membership data and set, implement, and reach membership goals; work closely with the Outside Sales team in order to implement successful recruiting functions; provide coaching and mentoring support to volunteers in order that they may provide effective delivery of the GSLE; mentor service unit teams to work effectively with girls in assigned geographic areas to ensure delivery of program and services to girls and retention of members; serve as the main point of contact, provide quality customer service, identify the need for and provide problem solving and conflict resolution to volunteers when appropriate and in a timely manner; provide the highest level of customer service to girls, parents, volunteers and community members; optimize the use of technology to support customer service for volunteers; will conduct a preliminary investigation of conflicts or other issues including finances when issues arise; ensure volunteers understand and comply with GSUSA and GSNEO policies, standards, and procedures, and comply with annual reporting, including but not limited to; maintaining active membership registration and submission of annual financial reports; prepare a variety of reports to assist the service unit team in meeting their goals and objectives; keep current on product program information and support training and messaging that is offered to service unit volunteers; provide product program team with essential service unit information to support product sales program; promote and assist with Council programs, activities, public relations and fund development endeavors including United Way; assist with the identification of council delegates as needed and encourage volunteers and girl members to participate in GSNEO evaluation process.

Program Facilitators (PT – Akron, Alliance, Cleveland, Lorain, North Canton and Youngstown OH)
Summary: The Program Facilitator is a flexible position that facilitates grant funded programs to girls ages 5-17 in an assigned geographic area.
Accountabilities: Responsible for providing high quality experiences to girls in accordance with specific grant requirements, while extending girl membership and supporting new volunteers in Girl Scouts of North East Ohio. Program schedules vary, primarily during the school day and after school, with some evenings and weekends; most funded programs are delivered in 4-10 week series. Program Facilitator will maintain proper documentation for measurement of program success.
Requirements: The right individual will have some college experience in education, child development, social work and/or a combination of work experience of 2-4 years and a record of successful program delivery; strong human relations skills such as leadership, networking, and relationship building; ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain confidentiality; is a self-starter with strong organizational skills, ability to problem solve and meet deadlines while working under pressure; communicate the written and spoken word with tact, diplomacy, and/or authority when necessary. Individual must have reliable transportation and be computer literate and have technical knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. May need to know or be able to learn other software specific to Girl Scouts.
