Girl Scouts of North East Ohio and Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, the nation’s leading fabric and craft specialty retailer (based in Hudson), will be joining forces on Saturday, January 25, 2014, to support “Crafting for a Cause.” In one day, at 18 Jo-Ann stores, 72 classes will be held for 1,200 Girl Scouts who are volunteering to make 2,400 sets of fleece hats and scarves. Girl Scouts of North East Ohio (GSNEO) employees welcomed a visit from a local U.S. representative Monday, when Congressman David Joyce (R-Ohio 14) stopped by the Macedonia headquarters for an informal meeting (and some Girl Scout Cookies).
Joyce is a co-sponsor of the Charitable Pension Flexibility Act (H.R.2134), legislation that affects Girl Scout councils across the country.
