Alcoa and UAW Local 1050 send a "taste of home" to military troops overseas

At a ceremony Friday, April 15, Girl Scouts of North East Ohio (GSNEO) accepted a check in support of Operation: Sweet Appreciation, a Girl Scouts Gift of Caring service project which sends Girl Scout Cookies to U.S. troops overseas.  Representatives from the United Auto Workers Local 1050 and Alcoa Foundation presented the check for $2,645 to GSNEO Chief Executive Officer, Daisy L. Alford Smith, Ph. D., at Alcoa Cleveland Works.
