Dear GSNEO Editor

Good afternoon,
 
First, I'd like to introduce myself.  This is my first year as a Council Delegate and last Saturday was the first election at which I've voted.
 
I wanted to let you and the rest of the Board know that I appreciate all the work that you are doing, and that I think that the Board and all the volunteers are doing an excellent job. 

The comments made by a small vocal minority did not represent my views nor were they shared by many others there.  I don't think that those leaders/volunteers understand the function of the Board Members-at-Large.  I don't believe they understand that those positions are for development and outreach purposes and that the Board Members need to be well connected in the community and that they are not the "enemy" but quite the reverse.
 
I am also very happy that the Vision 2012 team was created.  It was the right thing to do.  The Council needs a strategy, and I am very impressed with the work that they have done.  I understand that running GSNEO is a business and must remain sustainable in order to continue to serve the girls.
 
Again, please pass on my thanks and gratitude for the work that the Board of Directors and Vision 2012 are doing.
