Five girls from Manchester Cadette Troop 90991 were honored for their community service with the Presidential Volunteer Service Award from the Office of the President of The United States. They received a certificate, pin and letter from President Barack Obama. The girls are 8th graders at Manchester Middle School and participate not only in Girl Scouts, but are also members of marching band, choir, Arnold Service Club, Drama Club, Art Club, Student Council and are all honor students. Because of their community service they were also recognized by the state of Ohio with a Letter of Recognition from State House Representative Anthony DiVitis. The letter was presented to them at the June 6th City of New Franklin Council meeting, where they were also recognized and presented a Letter of Recognition from Mayor Al Bollas.
