Girl Scouts of North East Ohio (GSNEO) announces that Andrea Hartman has joined the Council’s corporate office as the Director of Member Services and Community Development.
Hartman brings a wealth of Girl Scout experience and knowledge to her current position. As Director of Members Services and Community Development, she will primarily be responsible for girl and adult recruitment and retention, while elevating and enhancing Girl Scout visibility in the community. Hartman will report directly to GSNEO’s Chief Operating Officer, assisting with achieving the organization’s mission and strategic goals. She also leads a staff of membership managers and specialists throughout 18 counties in Northeast Ohio.
Prior to joining Girl Scouts of North East Ohio, Hartman served as Assistant Executive Director for Girl Scouts of the Calumet Council – now a legacy council with Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana. She provided leadership to membership staff during the transitional period of the council restructuring. Hartman is a Lifetime Member of Girl Scouts of the United States of America.
Besides the Girl Scouts, Hartman has worked for numerous non-profit organizations including The League of Women Voters of Illinois, VNA Hospice of Northwest, and St. Anthony Medical Center in Michigan City, Indiana. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration from Indiana University Northwest.
Andrea, husband Brad and dog Gabriel have relocated to Ohio from rural Northwest Indiana and reside in Stow. Andrea was an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels, member of the board of directors for the Hobart Community Service and a member of the Association of Girl Scout Executive Staff. She is looking forward to exploring Northeast Ohio and becoming active in the community.
