Key Women's Leadership Academy

We are looking for 27 women to participate in the 2^nd KWLA cohort. The retreat date is October 5^th-7^th. Leadership is Key

The Key Leadership Academy (KWLA), is a leadership development program sponsored by the Key Bank Foundation, to educate and empower Girl Scout volunteers to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.

Girl Scouts of North East Ohio (GSNEO), is focused on engaging more volunteers, enhancing our programs, and strengthening our ability to help girls reach their fullest potential. The curriculum is designed to assist participants in identifying and connecting their skills and strengths to specific roles within GSNEO at either the organizational or youth level.

Key objectives of this program:

Prepare the next generation of girl and women leaders
Help existing GSNEO adult members and new members understand the role of volunteers and the broader purpose of volunteerism and service within Girl Scouting
Contribute to the personal and professional development of adult members by helping them to identify and connect their strengths to special roles within GSNEO at either the organizational of youth level

KWLA participants are required to attend and participate in the following activities throughout the course of the Year:

Opening Leadership Academy Retreat (2 ½ Days / Overnight Experience)
6 Monthly Leadership Sessions
3 Adult Learning Experiences
End of the Year Celebration

Resiliency and Youth Development
Building Community
Facilitating Adult Learning
Understanding Girl Scout Leadership Experience
Team Building
Girl Scout Traditions
Successful Recruitment

Tuition

Tuition for participation in the Key Women’s Leadership Academy is $50 for current members and $62 for non-members. The non-member fee includes payment to register as a new member. Each participant is expected to pay a minimum of 50% of the tuition; the remaining balance may be paid by the employer, sponsoring organization or the individual participant.
