Hudson Troop #1157, led by Sandy McCollough and April Fields, provided meals to the Ronald McDonald House in Akron. This group of 5th Graders browned over 20 pounds of ground beef and collected 72 hamburger buns, 6 bags of salad, 10 cans of sloppy joe sauce and dozens of cookies and goodies.
When Katie Evans, her daughter Emily, and fellow troop members Nicole and Holly delivered the food, Ronald McDonald staff members expressed their sincere thanks. Ronald McDonald House provides families with sick children a comforting place to stay.
This Junior Troop is also collecting beverage tabs to fill the Ronald McDonald House shown in the photograph below. The pop tabs are sold to regional scrap metal dealers for recycling and the money is donated to Ronald McDonald House.
Laura, Natalie, Emily (front row), Morgan, Anna, Nicole, Kimi, Larisa, Kate and Isabelle, Gabi, (middle row), Emily, Holly, Alexis, Amy, and Emily (back row) Madi contributed to this project as well but is not pictured with her troop.
