Scholarship Application for Graduating Girl Scouts Now Online

Girl Scouts of North East Ohio is pleased to announce the graduating senior scholarships for 2011. The number of scholarships and scholarship amounts are determined each year based on available funding and are not indicative of upcoming scholarships. Graduating senior Girl Scouts and those graduating senior Girl Scouts who have earned the Girl Scout Gold Award are eligible to apply for the 2011 Girl Scout Scholarship. GSNEO is pleased to share that 3 scholarships may be awarded to girls in each of the Central, East, North and South Service Areas - valued at $1,000, $750, and $500.

An endowed scholarship fund held at the Community Foundation of Lorain County provides scholarships for girls residing in the West Service Area (Erie, Lorain, Huron, Sandusky, Seneca counties). Three (3) scholarships may be awarded this year in the West Service Area, valued at $3000, $2500, and $1500. One of the scholarships in the West Service Area will be awarded to a girl who has earned the Girl Scout Gold Award.

Completed scholarship applications must include the required essay, official high school transcript, college/university/trade school acceptance letter, and letters of recommendation.

Deadline to submit applications is Monday, May 16, 2011.
