What we have in mind is to run a border of 8 1/2 x 11 'posters' along the wall of the lobby and atrium at Embassy Suites - each poster representing an award project. After the event, they may be moved to the Corporate office for display where leaders and girls can come and be inspired to do their own project.
We would like anyone/troop who has earned the Bronze, Silver or Gold Award to make a one-page recap of their project (please use the templates on next pages) for display during the Something Special, Girl Scout Adult event on August 18, 2012 at Embassy Suites in Independence.
Page should contain:• The appropriate page heading found on the following templates• A brief recap of the project – for Gold Award, the one in the banquet booklet would be appropriate.• Girl(s)’s first name(s), If it was a troop project, just the troop # is fine• Troop # (include the leading region #)• City & GSNEO region• Year of project• Pictures of the project (be sure you have permission from parents if any girls are in the pictures) The pictures do not have to be formatted as they are in the templates, they can be turned at angles, cropped to various sizes, etc – be creative.• If at all possible, laminate the page before turning it in.
Please print the page, laminate it (if possible) and mail it to: Girl Scouts of North East Ohio Attn: Mindy Feigenbaum One Girl Scout Way Macedonia, OH 44056-2156
In addition, send an electronic copy to marketing@gsneo.org for inclusion in a Power Point display.
Drop it off in person to Mindy at the Corporate office in Macedonia through your Service Unit Director who can give it to their Membership Specialist at their cluster meeting.
Please submit by June 30th 2012.
