This year, the troops chose WAGGGS countries from the Middle East to learn about. Each troop did a display and had foods from that country to taste. Nine troops participated with 67 Girl Scouts plus their families.
The Middle East was chosen because this service unit has been doing projects to aid the American troops stationed there. As part of the celebration they also chose to honor American Military past and present at this time.
Guests included the Youngstown State Color Guard under the direction of Sgt. Ericsen. They put on a display and demonstrated proper flag folding with the girls. We would like to thank Mrs. Fonner, the music instructor from McKinley Elementary, for her help with the musical portion of our program.
