High School Girl Scouts, VIT is more than a pin to be earned because your Mom or troop leader tells you to.
What do you want to do?
Are you already working with younger girls?
Are your scouting years as a girl member almost over?
Still deciding if you will Go for the Gold Award?
Want to know what is beyond graduation?
There are so many questions being asked of you by the adults in your life.
Knowing that leadership training isn’t just for adults, women who participated in the Key Woman’s Leadership Academy have created am amazing and powerful leadership program for high school girls that focuses on identifying personal leadership styles and using that knowledge to reach your future goals.
Senior and Ambassador girls dive into the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) that will help you be more effective mentors for younger girls.
This isn’t just classwork! Animated conversations and activities are used to explore group dynamics, develop strategies for working with adults on leadership projects, and generating community support. Volunteering isn’t just being a troop leader, where do you fit and how can you volunteer?
KWLA graduates will help you find the answers and provide the opportunities to network with adults beyond your troop, creating a personal leadership journey that will take you where you want to go. The bonus in taking this class? It meets the training criteria for the VIT award.
The first class took place December 7th. Maybe you know a girl who participated, ask her about the fun. Registration is open for classes on January 18 and March 15. The volunteer trainers from KWLA look forward to seeing you at one of those sessions!
