More updates for 2014 - GSNEO International Travel Group
We are a special group dedicated to providing international travel opportunities to older Girl Scouts throughout the North East Ohio Council. The leadership of this group has over 20 years of international traveling experience behind them with Girl Scouts!
We don’t want to take the place of your regular Girl Scout troop. We supplement the older girl program by providing international opportunities to girls wishing to travel as well as troops who couldn’t otherwise travel on their own.
You will experience:
Monthly meetings held on Sunday afternoons or evenings where we learn about the countries we will be visiting, learn how to pack, what to pack, how to stay safe and healthy, about the currency and how to budget our money. We learn about cultural diversity and affinity and respect for other cultures and people – very important in today’s world.
You will get to know girls from all 18 counties that make up North East Ohio Council.
Lots of fundraising opportunities where girls and adults work together to support trip costs. We hold car washes, spaghetti dinners, concession events, plant sales, sell cookies and more. WE HAVE FUN WHILE WE LEARN AND EARN.
Who can join?
Any interested Girl Scouts, ages 11 – 17, from North East Ohio Council can join. Please note that Girl Scouts must be 14 years old prior to trip departure and/or entering 9th grade in September of the trip year to travel internationally. However, fundraising opportunities are available for all scouts wishing to travel on future trips.
Adults are welcome to join our tour on a space available basis. You will not be responsible for supervising Girl Scouts.

High Adventure Girl Scouting is for any girl at least 11 years old and in the 6th grade. There are activities every month including horse camp, scuba diving, caving, ziplining, rock climbing, ice skating and our old favorite, spa day!
During the summer months we plan a big trip and have traveled domestically and internationally.
The goal of our group is to develop leadership, life skills and team work. Our group is girl-led and participants plan, organize and implement our monthly events! There is also an opportunity to participate in money earning activities to help defray the cost of our trips
