GSNEO is partnering with Powerhouse Self Defense to provide a TWO PART self defense workshop for girls in grades 7-12 and adult women. Part 1 is on Saturday, January 19, from 1am-3pm. Part 2 is on Sunday, January 20, from 2pm-4pm. The 4 hour workshop will teach you to be aware of your surroundings. It includes training hand and leg techniques taught in martial arts programs and learning to use these techniques to defend yourself. Through 'attack scenarios' you will also learn that by using your CORE STRENGTH you can stop an attack immediately! Also learn how to defend yourself while on the ground, disarming techniques, and the proper use of non-lethal 'weapons'. Please wear comfortable 'gym' clothes, limit jewelry, and bring a water bottle.
