Starting kindergarten is a rite of passage for children and their families, but many of the usual ways teachers and caregivers prepare their kids for kindergarten have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving families worried that their kids might not be ready to successfully adapt to and thrive in the classroom. That’s why we’re offering a free, virtual kindergarten readiness program. Sign up for the “Make New Friends” 4-part virtual event series to help them prepare to start kindergarten with confidence! Sign up at www.girlscouts.org/ready.
Knowing social and emotional learning and development are some of the strongest predictors of academic success and healthy relationships, Girl Scouts has designed fun activities to fill this critical need.
In this four-part event series, girls will practice interacting with other girls, explore emotions and persistence, practice reasoning and problem-solving skills, and more. After each session, you’ll receive additional information and activities to continue practicing the skills at home.
