These are fun events for the whole family! Take a tour, then stay the afternoon for nature activities, crafts, songs and games, a campfire, and s'mores!

Summer Camp Registration Frequently Asked Questions

How do I view my registrations?

Click on the button below to log in to view your camp registration(s).

Note:  This is not the same as your MyGS. The log in to view your registrations is a different system.

You now will have access to the events and camps you have signed up for.  You can make payments and adjust camping rosters by clicking through the appropriate tabs of your profile.

How do I make camp payments?

Full payment is due at the time of registration for all programs, except for Resident Camp. Payments and deposits may be made by credit card, debit card, or Pathway Passes.

Resident Camp requires a non-refundable deposit of $75 to secure space in each session requested, with the remaining balance due no later than one (1) month prior to program start date.

For Resident Camp Deposits:  Payments made with Pathway Passes will reduce the total amount due. Pathway Passes are not applied to the initial deposit. If there is a remaining balance of $75 or more, a non-refundable deposit must be paid at the time the order is placed.

How to log in to make payments:

Click on the button below and log in to your registration account.  

You will now have access to the events and camps you have signed up for.  Click on the "Registrations" tab.


From here, you are able to view registration details and make payments.

How do I use my girl's Pathway Passes for camp registration?

GSNEO Rewards is where you find all of your GSNEO discounts in one place. Codes for earned Pathway Passes and Scoutships are delivered electronically to the GSNEO Rewards system on the gsneo.org website.

The Scoutship Pass awarded for the summer camp discount is a percentage off of one choice of summer opportunities over $100.00 in value. The summer program discount will be good between March 1, 2021 and August 15, 2021.  

Discount codes will need to be applied to the summer program order online at the time the order is placed. To use multiple codes, enter each code separated by a comma and then click apply once all codes have been added. The discount will then be taken from the total order. Please make sure you have the caregiver's permission before using codes of girls not in your family. Payments made for programs prior to Cookie Pathway Passes being issued are not eligible for reimbursement. 

For Resident Camp Deposits: Payments made with Pathway Passes will take the total discount amount of Pathway Passes from the total amount due. If there is a balance of $75 or more due, a deposit will need to be paid at the time the order is placed.

Is assistance available to help pay for camp?

We want to make sure she doesn't miss out on all the great things happening at summer camp. Simply apply for Scoutship. Scoutship is financial assistance for summer camp, uniforms, and council-sponsored programs. Scoutship is awarded annually based on a family's size and household income.

The yearly request for Scoutship has closed but you can still request assistance for Summer Camp.  Please email Customercare@gsneo.org.  Be sure to include your Girl Scout's name, household income and household size.

What is the Refund/Reschedule Policy?

To reschedule or cancel your camp registration, contact the registration department by email. Please include your registration number and we’ll do our best to help you reschedule.

It’s best to make changes to your camp registration as far in advance as possible. We may not be able to accommodate changes that occur within two weeks of your camp session. Please note, there is a $25 administration fee to change resident camp sessions.

Participants who request a refund 45 days or more before a camp session will receive a refund. Deposits made on resident camp sessions are non-refundable. Refunds are not given within 45 days of a program, or if a member doesn’t attend the event. Prorated refunds are not given if a member doesn’t attend the full program. In some cases, a partial refund may be granted for family or medical emergencies; however, notification must be given before the event and followed up with a written request within two weeks.

Occasionally, GSNEO must change or cancel a program. If this happens, we’ll notify you as soon as possible and provide either a full refund of the camp reservation fee or placement into an alternate session.

Can I set up auto payments from my bank account for summer camp?

Auto-payment is now available for Resident Camp orders!

When in the shopping cart screen, there is an option to have auto-payment.  It is set to be the standard option.  If you do not wish to use that, be sure to uncheck the box.  The dates and amounts to be paid are listed to help make that decision.

If you choose to not use auto-payment, you will be sent a monthly reminder of payments being due. Emails will come from Girl Scouts of North East Ohio and email address noreply@doubleknot.com.  Please mark this as a safe address and remember to check your spam folder.

Are the health forms fillable online?

Our PDF forms are designed to be fillable. However, variations in browsers and add-ons complicate this feature. If you have trouble viewing or filling in one of our PDF forms, download it and save it to your computer. Open that form using Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, download it here.

I'm on a Waitlist. How does that work?

Programs are filled on a first-registered, first-served basis. The online system indicates program capacity and remaining spaces available as well as a waitlist.

When placing an order, if the program capacity is full, you will be placed on the waitlist. If you are placed on a program waitlist, you will be notified via email if spots become available.

Waitlist openings are dependent on cancellations being received. Being placed on a waitlist does not guarantee placement into the program.

Can I invite a friend to camp?

Campers can designate one buddy during registration, this will make sure both campers are assigned to the same cabin or tent for sleeping. Buddies must be registered in the same session.

We cannot wait to gather around the campfire again! Girl Scouts has more than 100 years of experience in providing excellent, safe camps for girls, and we will do everything to make sure your camper has a great experience this year.

Camp this summer will be especially sweet, and we are making changes to keep girls safe. Camps will have reduced capacities and enhanced cleaning measures, and activities will be adapted for social distancing.

**Update Effective June 1st

Because the COVID-19 vaccine is currently unavailable to children under the age of 12 and children ages 12-17 are just beginning to be vaccinated, GSNEO is setting the following guidelines for Summer Camp: 

  • Camp numbers have reduced capacity and are utilizing a pod system
  • Check-in and check-out procedures will be changed to limit the amount of people present during these times to allow for more efficient social distancing
  • Most campers attending summer camp will not be vaccinated. To maintain safety and minimize the potential for an outbreak, we will adhere to physical distancing. If we are unable to maintain a safe distance within their pod group, then masks will be required 
  • When campers are sleeping, eating and living together in their pods, they are not required to wear a mask, regardless of their vaccination status

Due to ever evolving COVID-19 regulations, new questions may come up, and we will have answers! Be sure to check our FAQ list for regular updates. 

Check-In

What will check-in look like?

  • Each camper family will be assigned a check-in time. Your check-in time will be assigned and sent via email the week prior to your camper's session.
  • Upon arrival campers will have a temperature and lice check, have their medical forms reviewed, and drop off any medications needed for the week.
  • Temperatures of 100 degrees F or higher will be not accepted at camp. If your camper is unable attend due to a COVID-related symptom, our staff will do our best to make alternative arrangements for her.Health pre-screens will be sent to caregivers to complete and return to GSNEO 24 hours prior to arrival at camp.
Camp Capacities

For the safety of our campers, Girl Scouts of North East Ohio has made changes to the Summer Camp program to maintain social distancing. We have reduced camp capacity and implemented a pod system to  limit the number of interactions with different people. 

What are pods?

  • Each thematic camp session is its own pod (e.g. Camp, Camp, Camp). Pods will socially distance from other the pods attending camp at all times. 
  • Campers and staff in each camp session will be part of one pod. Other sessions at camp that week will be in separate pods.
  • The campers will be in their pods for the entirety of the week and will complete all camp programs and meals together as a unit—no interaction with other pods.

How many people will be at camp at a time?

Each program’s capacities may vary dependent on location and offerings. No matter the program choice, we will operate within the pod structure to maintain physical distance and safety.

Core Camp

  • Reduced overall capacities

    • Ledgewood: 130

Family Programs

  • Reduced overall capacities

Cabins

What COVID precautions will there be where my camper will sleep?

  • Campers will maintain a social distance within their pods.
  • Campers will not be required to wear masks within their pods regardless of vaccination status.
  • Campers will not have to sleep in masks.
  • Mattresses will be 6 feet apart and girls will sleep head to toe.
  • Windows will be open if weather permits and fans will be provided for additional ventilation.
Mealtimes

What will meals look like?

  • Masks will be required when entering and exiting the dining hall.
  • Meals will be served in the dining hall, campers will have an opportunity to spread out and eat outside at picnic tables and various areas around camp as well. 
  • Meals will be family style, with one staff member from each pod serving each camper.
  • Campers will eat with their pod at tables that are socially-distanced from other pods.
  • Masks will not be required while eating and drinking at their table. 
Hygiene

What about handwashing and sanitizing group spaces?

  • Before, during and after participating in activities campers will wash hands and/or use gel hand sanitizer when needed.
  • After participating in activities, camp staff will disinfect high-touch surfaces
  • Before and after meals, campers and staff will wash their hands

How will my girl shower at camp?

  • Campers will shower daily either in cabin or scheduled at pool house.
  •  Shower schedule will be created so that pods do not overlap.
  • Campers are responsible for cleaning their shower areas after bathing.
  • Staff sanitization of high touch areas between pods (i.e. door handles, table tops, benches, program equipment using sanitization wipes and spray).
  •  Twice daily sanitization of areas twice daily (lunch & evening) electrostatic sprayers.
When will my girl wear a mask?

Because the COVID-19 vaccine is currently unavailable to children under the age of 12 and children ages 12-17 are just beginning to be vaccinated, masks are recommended for unvaccinated children under 12 years of age.  

Campers will wear masks whenever they cannot socially-distance from other pods; e.g. flag ceremony, all-camp closing, entering and exiting the dining hall or common spaces etc.  

Why Waitlist?
  • Waitlists help us gauge popularity of programs. Sometimes we are able to add more spots!
  • Lots of kids get in off the waitlist! We usually have a steady trickle of cancellations all spring
  • There's no financial commitment! You won't have to pay anything until your camper gains a spot on the roster
  • If you don't sign up for the waitlist, you won't get in!

Each girl will be given a 30-minute time slot to check in at camp based on her session. If arriving with more than one camper, please arrive to the earliest check-in time assigned to you. If you arrive prior to your time slot, please wait in your car until your assigned time begins to help us prevent group overlap.

In order to keep our campers and staff groups as small as possible during check in, please limit one caregiver at check-in and check-out. Besides the camper, only one caregiver will be allowed out of the car during check in, so please do not bring any other family members to camp. Prepare your camper to say goodbye for the week with family and friends at home before arriving to camp.

All caregivers and campers must wear a mask as soon as they exit their vehicle.

Follow directions given to you by staff regarding luggage, walk up to the temperature check station and get your camper’s temperature taken. Anyone with a temperature of 100 F will not be allowed to stay at camp. We recommend taking your camper’s temperature prior to arriving at camp.

Once a camper has been checked in, they may not leave their camp session to return to their vehicle.

Check Out: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Pick up will resemble a drive through. Caregivers will not exit their vehicles during check-out. Please follow signs and counselor directions to pull up, you will be greeted by a member of the administrative team. They will provide you with the necessary paperwork to pick up your camper.

Make sure you do the following at check-out:

  • Show a valid form of ID to sign out your camper. GSNEO will not release campers to persons other than those authorized by a caregiver as indicated at check-in. GSNEO will not release a camper to anyone who does not show photo ID.
  • Collect your camper’s “Go Home Envelope.” In this envelope you will receive information about what your camper did at camp, left over money from the Trading Post, and important notes from the camp director or health supervisor.
  • The health supervisor will meet with every caregiver. She will provide you with your camper’s medicine (if applicable) and notify you of any medical care provided to your camper during her stay.

Once you show your ID and have signed out your camper, they will be directed to your vehicle by a counselor. The counselor will help your camper load their luggage into the car.

Late Pick Up Policy

Departure time is 5:00 pm sharp. Due to staffing requirements, you will be charged $20.00 for every 15 minutes you are late. If you do not pick up your camper by 6pm, you will be charged all late fees and the respective County Sheriff’s office will be contacted.

 

Week-Long Day Camp at Camp Ledgewood

Week-long Day Camp is a wonderful way for Girl Scout Daisies and Brownies to get an extended taste of the camp experience! Check out the information and forms below.

Day Camp - Bring Each Day!

Remember to wear/bring each day:

  • Closed toe shoes and socks
  • Packed lunch
  • Water bottle
  • Bug spray and sunscreen
  • Face mask

Special Items: On Monday you will receive additional information about what will be happening each day of the week (swimming, messy day, trading post, etc.), and thus how to prepare your camper for those special days.

Late Pick-Up Policy

NO After Camp Care

Campers must be picked up by 4:00pm. If you are more than 15 minutes late and have not signed up for After Camp Care, you will be charged for After Camp Care on your camp registration.

After Camp Care

Campers must be picked up by 5:30pm. Due to staffing requirements, you will be charged $20.00 for every 15 minutes you are late. If you do not pick up your camper by 6:00 pm, you will be charged all late fees and the Summit County Sheriff's office will be contacted.

One Day Programs at Camp

One Day program sessions are perfect for the girl who just wants to get a taste of camp, has a specific interest, can't make it to a full week session, or just loves camp!

**Please note that lunch will be provided for all campers.**

Troop Camping

Troop Camping summer programs, also known as CORE camping, are perfect for leaders who want to enjoy the camp experience with their troop, but aren't sure how to fill the time. Fortunately, that's what the resident camp staff are for -- to provide programming and support!

CORE Camp Requirements

Troop requirements:

  • New for summer 2021:  An Outdoor Essentials (OE) trained adult must attend with your troop. If you do not have an adult with OE training in your troop, you must assign one adult attending camp to take an online CORE Camp specific outdoor training no later than 2 weeks prior to attending CORE Camp. For more information, please check out the "CORE Camp Outdoor Prerequisite Training" section below.
  • Each troop must have a currently certified First Aid/CPR trained adult. Troops are required to meet adult-to-girl ratio according to GSUSA policy.
  • All girls and adults attending must be GSUSA registered members and all adults attending must be GSNEO approved volunteers who have completed an adult membership registration including a background check from GSNEO.
  • Space availability may require troops to share a site with another troop.

Note: Daisies are not permitted to attend CORE Camp. Some activities are subject to age requirements. This program requires a troop to consist of at least 2 adults and 3 girls in order to register.

CORE Camp Adult-to-Girl Ratio

Adult-to-Girl Ratios

The adult-to-girl ratio is two non-related adults, including one woman, for every:

  • 12 Girl Scout Brownies
  • 16 Girl Scout Juniors
  • 20 Girl Scout Cadettes
  • 24 Girl Scout Seniors
  • 24 Girl Scout Ambassadors

There should be one extra adult for every additional:

  • 1–6 Girl Scout Brownies
  • 1–8 Girl Scout Juniors
  • 1–10 Girl Scout Cadettes

Note: For mixed-grade level troops, use the ratio for the lowest grade level in the troop. For example, if the troop consists of Juniors and Brownies, the Brownie ratio should be followed.
Cabins will be limited to a capacity of 8 girls and 2 adults. If registering more than 8 girls and 2 adults for CORE camp, please expect that your troop will be split up. Please make arrangements to provide enough adults for ratio per cabin.

Due to COVID-19, for 2021 troops will receive a pre-made schedule of events upon arrival at camp. This schedule will include meal times, programs, and free troop time.

CORE Camp Outdoor Prerequisite Training

An Outdoor Essentials trained adult must attend with your troop.

If you do not have an adult with OE training in your troop, you must assign one adult attending camp to take an online CORE Camp specific outdoor training no later than 2 weeks prior to attending CORE Camp.  

If you need to take the CORE Camp Specific Outdoor Essentials, please comeplete THIS FORM.

Once we receive the information, the class will be added to GSLearn to complete. Information will be sent via email with directions on completing the class.



 

Family Camps

Family Camp opportunities may be the start of a summer tradition with your family or close friends at camp. Enjoy staff led activities like hiking, swimming, canoeing, campfires, archery, and games. Meet new friends, experience adventure, or simply relax. The programs are open to registered Girl Scouts and their families.

Me and My Guy

For girls and their special guy -- dad, grandpa, uncle, brother, or family friend (age 21+)! Please bring the following forms (both adults and girls must have completed forms):

  • Closed-toe shoes and socks (flip-flops are only permitted at the pool)

Just Us Girls

Grab your mom, aunt, grandma, or your favorite adult female (age 21+) for this one-on-one experience! Please bring the following forms (both adults and girls must have completed forms):

Community Day Camps

Community Day Camp and Twilight Camp programs are community-based, outdoor experiences operated by Girl Scout volunteers. Each camp provides a unique experience as girls and adults work together. The volunteer directors and staff are trained to provide safe, age-appropriate activities tied together with a common theme. All currently registered GSUSA members are eligible to attend and may register for one or more community day camps.
