bridge 230x230

Bridges are very important in Girl Scout lore. All Girl Scouts move from one age level to another through a process of “bridging.” A bridge is something that crosses a gap and gives us access to new and exciting things that wait to be discovered on the other side. A Girl Scout bridging ceremony does the same thing: it gives girls the opportunity to physically make the leap from one level to the next! It’s a defining moment when a girl becomes aware of her achievements and is ready for new adventures and responsibilities. Celebrating this change is fun, personalized, and memorable for everyone involved. This bridge, spanning a wetland near the Program Center, will provide a permanent place for troops wishing to plan their celebration at Camp Ledgewood.
