Archery Level 2 Certification
THIS IS A TWO DAY COURSE, YOU MUST ATTEND BOTH DAYS IN ORDER TO BECOME CERTIFIED.
Archery Instructors are level 2 certified to teach and certify other adults. Archery Instructors are the foundation of GSNEO Archery programs, and archery program development. Obtaining this certification not only provides you with valuable knowledge and hands-on skills, but also boosts the marketing value of our program. Instructor Certifications are recognized by both USA Archery and the National Field Archery Association.
Archery Instructor Course Content: Basic shooting steps, introduce intermediate shooting steps, safety, range set-up; equipment setup and repair, fitting equipment to an archer, how to teach archery and how to teach a Level 1 Instructor Course.
Term of appointment: 3 years (certification is renewable).
Time Commitment: Instructors are required to teach at least two (2) Archery Facilitator courses, complete two (2) on-site Archery facilitator evaluations, and facilitate at least two (2) days of Archery programs for girls each year.
Prerequisite: Training and the Archery Level 1 Instructor Certification, US Archery background check completed $25, completion of Safe Sport – must be completed 2 weeks prior to Level II Course Length of Course: 16 hours (8 hrs. day/2 days).
Course Cost: $300 (council pays $225; which includes 3 year USA Archery Membership, volunteer pays $75.00 to GSNEO with signed agreement).
Meals are provided during the course on Saturday and Sunday.
