Give back to the environment with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) as ODNR provides opportunities to contribute to the Girl Scout Tree Promise and unlock the Girl Scout Tree Promise Patch! During this event Girls will receive an introduction from state foresters on the importance of tree planting to the environment and biodiversity and watch a demonstration on how to plant before taking planting into their own hands!
Participants will be split into age groups. Families may participate in the same group as their Girl Scout. Each group will receive an age-appropriate introduction to the importance of tree planting to the environment and biodiversity before a demonstration on how to plant.
ODNR will provide water, light snacks, information, and swag for participants.
IMPORTANT: Wear shoes and clothes that you are prepared to get muddy. Bring shovels, work gloves, and dibble bars if you have them. Otherwise, tools will be provided.
