Is your troop ready to plan their first cabin campout experience? This streamlined training will go over the Safety Activity Checkpoints as it relates to this outdoor activity and seasoned volunteers will share camping tips, techniques, and tricks that will build your knowledge and confidence. This class includes the all-day training and an overnight experience. Both days are required to complete the class. This class cover everything from fire building, tying knots, campfire cooking, and more. Dress for the weather and bring a mess kit (plate, silverware, cup, and a mesh bag). Dinner will be provided. Your trainers will send you a welcome email with more information a week before your class.
**Males please understand the Intergrove cabin does not have a separate sleeping arrangement for you so please make sure you bring a tent. If you don’t have one, please reach out to training@gsneo.org.
