How to Become a Girl Scout Volunteer
As a volunteer, you'll work with girl through a variety of ways. Whether planning or teaching fun activities, giving back to your community , or managing the operations of a Girl Scout troop. It's a totally rewarding experience that gives back as much as you give to it!
Here's how to get started:
Girls' safety is our number one priority; therefore all volunteers must be registered Girl Scout members with a Criminal Background Check on file.
You will be asked what volunteer role you would like. Select your choice from the Opportunity Catalog during your registration.
You're a stronger volunteer with training. Be sure to take advantage of all the learning opportunities GSNEO has in store for you.

Then visit GSNEO's online training site:
Start with Welcome to Girl Scouts of North East Ohio required courses.
Next, go to the courses that match your volunteer role. For example, Troop Leaders would take Troop Leader Basics and then the age level courses. Service Unit volunteers would need only take Service Unit Volunteer courses.
Congratulations! You're ready to start volunteering for Girl Scouts!
Be sure to invite more girls to join, and every parent to play an active role in Girl Scouting!
