Adult Recognition is a way to honor adult volunteers whose services
directly or indirectly support or enhance girl experiences in Girl
Scouting. The quality of the individual’s accomplishments is a key
factor for recognizing someone.
When an individual or group in Girl Scouting has served with unusual
distinction for a larger geographic area, formal recognition may be
appropriate. Honoring the service of our adult volunteers for their
strong commitment and devotion to Girl Scouting is an established part
of the Girl Scout program. These awards reinforce the qualities and
service that Girl Scouting values provide.
Formal council level awards are presented each fall at the GSNEO
Adult Recognition Event. Nominations and endorsements are accepted at
any time throughout the year; but each year there is a cut-off date of
August 1. Nominations/endorsements received after August 1 will be
awarded at the following years’ recognition event.
As a surprise for our awardees we've created a Kudoboard with
messages of gratitude and support from their nominators and endorsers!
You can read the messages here.
