Girl Scout Day at Cedar Point, June 12

Nothing screams summer like roller coasters at one of the biggest amusement parks in Ohio. Enjoy the thrills of the rides and discounts on tickets for everyone by attending Girl Scout Day at Cedar Point. Additionally, the first 500 Girl Scouts at the park will receive this year’s fun patch.

Akron RubberDucks: Sunday Family FUNday, June 16

Cheer on Akron’s minor league baseball team during one of the Sunday Family FUNday events. Show up early before the game to play catch on the field and stick around after the game to run the bases.

FreedomFest, June 29

Looking for the perfect place to see some fireworks this summer? Stop by FreedomFest at Boettler Park for fireworks, food, and fantastic shows to celebrate the 4th of July season. For admission into the event, be sure to bring a donation of school supplies.

Me and My Guy, July 6

Spend the day bonding with your special guy- dad, grandpa, uncle, brother, or family friend (21+)- at camp. Participate in swimming, shooting at the archery range (for girls going into 2nd grade or older), boating, hiking, crafting and more.

Girl Scouts Love State Parks, July 13-14

Get outside and explore the outdoors during the first ever Girl Scouts Love State Parks Week! Ohio is home to 75 state parks, all of which have free admission. Special activities will be held at certain parks such as Portage Lakes State Park during this weekend.

Girls in STEM, July 19

Interested in learning about science? Summer is the perfect time to learn something new! Visit the NASA Glenn Research Center for educational activities, an engineering design challenge, a panel discussion with female scientists and engineers, and facility tours.

The Canton Repository Grand Parade, August 3
