New to Girl Scouts? You can start as early as April 2026 and keep the fun going through September 2027!

Unlock a world of adventure, friendship, and discovery for $75 for girls* and $42 for adults who are joining for the first time. Extended Year membership is only available for a limited time.
*Girls pay just $75, which includes an automatic GSNEO discount. The regular girl Extended Year membership fee is $91.

Girl Scouts is open to all girls in grades K-12. Girls starting kindergarten in the fall can join as early as April 1.

*The annual Girl Scout membership is valid from October 1 through September 30 of the following year, and must be renewed annually. For a limited time, girls and adults who are new to Girl Scouts can join through the Extended Year membership and be a Girl Scout through September 30, 2027. Financial assistance is available for girl members. Purchasing a Girl Scout membership does not guarantee placement in a troop. A membership to Girl Scouts of the USA is non-refundable.

Get Ready With Girl Scouts 
Is your child starting kindergarten or first grade this fall?
Kick off her summer adventure with Get Ready with Girl Scouts™, a school readiness program designed just for new members – perfect for making friends and beginning her Girl Scout journey!
When she joins, she’ll enjoy:
- Three activity books, aligned to school readiness standards and filled with fun summer activities! Available in both English and bilingual (Spanish), the activity books will be shipped directly to her.
- E-newsletters with more activities for the whole family, including tips and resources for caregivers.
- A surprise gift just to welcome her to Girl Scouts!
- Access to everything Girl Scouts offers.
- All while becoming part of an amazing community of friends.
When you join Girl Scouts between April 1 and June 15, you’ll receive an invitation to Let’s Go Outside! —a lively, interactive online experience hosted by the Smithsonian’s National Zoo & Conservation Biology Institute. During this special event, you’ll meet amazing animals up close, get your questions answered by zoo experts, and enjoy a behind‑the‑scenes adventure.
Space is limited and available on a first‑come, first‑served basis, so signing up early gives you the best chance to join the fun.
