We don’t want finances to ever exclude families from Girl Scouts.
Scoutship is a discount available for Girl Scouts of North East Ohio youth members to assist families with the cost of Girl Scout uniforms and council-sponsored events, including summer camp. Eligibility is determined through the online application and is impacted by household income and household size.
Each year, Scoutship applications open on August 1 for the new membership year, and close on June 1. Application processing time can depend on current volume, and is typically completed within one week of receipt.
Change for Membership Year 2026-2027: GSNEO has updated the way Summer Camp Scoutship assistance is awarded. Beginning this year, the discounts that were granted through Scoutship will now be available through a separate application process, available later this fall 2026. All camp discounts and scholarships will be awarded through the same process moving forward, allowing GSNEO to maximize the impact of all our scholarships for Girl Scout campers.
