Participation Information

Who Can Attend?

Any currently registered member of GSNEO may participate in council-sponsored programs and events specific to your current age level.

Do I Have to Participate With a Troop?

Girls may participate individually or as part of a troop. Adult chaperones are required unless otherwise noted.

Who Can Come to Family Friendly Events?

Family and friends are welcome to attend "Family-Friendly" programs and events. One family member is required to be a current Girl Scout member.

Are Chaperones Required?

Unless otherwise indicated, all girls attending a Council-sponsored program must have an adult chaperone. Please see the Safety Activity Checkpoints for ratio requirements.

Getting Registered

How Do I Register?

GSNEO uses an online registration system. First time visitors must become a registered user by creating a profile and password. See the registration demo video below for more assistance. Here are the easy steps:

  • Go to "Event Calendar"
  • Choose your event
  • Click "Register Now"
  • Log on to your account (new users can create a new profile)
  • Add girl participants
  • Add adult chaperones
  • Process Payment
  • Check your email for confirmation!
How Do I Know How Much Space is Available on an Event?

Programs are filled on a first-registered, first-served basis. The online system indicates program capacity and remaining spaces available, as well as a waitlist. When you are on the registration page there will be an option to click “MORE.” You will then be able to see how many spaces are available for each type of registrant.

Registration Has Closed, Can I Still be Added to the Event?

Registrations that can be accommodated after the close date will incur a $5 late fee per person. Please email customercare@gsneo.org to inquire about being added. The Girl Experience Team will make determination for each event.

Payment

When Do I Make a Payment?

Payment is due at the time of registration, using credit or debit cards, electronic check, or GSNEO Pathway Passes.

Where Do I Find Pathway Passes?

Pathway Passes can be found on GSNEO Rewards.

How Do I Use Pathway Passes as Payment?

Passes are added on the payment page, in the discount code box. Multiple codes can be used. They need to be entered all at one time separated by a comma.

Where Can I Find More Pathway Pass Information?

Is There Financial Assistance to Help Pay For Events?

Families that have a financial need may apply once per year for Scoutship assistance. Girls must be currently registered members to qualify. For the application, visit Scoutship Application.

Cancellations and Refunds

I Need to Cancel; How do I do That?

Cancellation and refund requests must be made in writing to customercare@gsneo.org.

I Had a Family/Medical Emergency the Day of the Event, What do I do?

A partial refund may be granted for medical or family emergencies. Submit written requests for refunds no later than two weeks after the program date to customercare@gsneo.org.

The Weather Looks Bad, Will My Event be Cancelled?

Events run rain or shine unless GSNEO determines that inclement weather would adversely affect a program. In those cases, participants will be notified of cancellation or scheduling. For your convenience, GSNEO has a cancellation hotline at 1-800-852-4474 ext. 0128.

If I Cancel, Will I Get a Refund?

Participants who make a cancellation/refund request 45 days, or more, before an event will receive a refund of 50% of registration fees. Refunds for family emergency or medical reasons will only be processed if notification is made before the event and is followed up within two weeks by a written refund request. No refunds will be issued for no-shows.

If Council Cancels My Event, Will I be Refunded?

If GSNEO cancels the event for any reason or cannot place participants in the event of their choice, GSNEO will issue a refund for 100% of the registration fee which will be refunded in the same way payment was made.
