Mental Health Matters
Navigating today’s complex and challenging world can be tough, especially for girls. Recent research shows that nearly 70 percent of girls ages five through 13 are experiencing loneliness, which can affect their mental health. That’s where Girl Scouts comes in. We provide a safe space with resources to support girls (and their families) in exploring feelings, practicing self-care, and making lifelong friendships that will enable healthy habits and overall well-being.
The new Girl Scouts Mental Wellness patch program reminds Girl Scouts that they are never alone in facing challenges and further invites girls to dive into and understand their emotions.
The Mental Wellness patch program was made possible by the HCA Healthcare Foundation and developed in collaboration with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
Patches for this patch program are available through the shop.
