Administrative & Property Support (Green Team Volunteer)
These volunteers help with a variety of projects and administrative tasks. Typical projects could include product sale or camp kit assembly, event preparation, and patch organization. Projects are based on the volunteers' time and interests.
Property Volunteer
As a property volunteer, you will participate in indoor and outdoor activites such as mulching, painting, trail clearing, building, gravel spreading, and cleaning.
Community Engagement Committee Chair
The Chair of the Community Engagement Committee is responsible for identifying outreach and engagement opportunities for GSNEO. The committee serves as an intermediary between the community and GSNEO Board of Directors to cultivate meaningful relationships with members of our communities.

Gold Award Committee
A Gold Award Committee Member is dedicated to helping Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors succeed in earning approval for their Girl Scout Gold Award project. The goal of the Gold Award Committee is to be understanding and supportive of each girl's circumstance and to help a girl get their project approved.
History & Archive Committee
The GSNEO History Committee has been established by the Board of Directors to promote the understanding of Girl Scout History and to maintain historical archives donated to GSNEO.
STEM Advisory - Committee Chair
The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Advisory Committee is endorsed by the GSNEO Board of Directors and assumes primary responsibility for providing quality, accessible STEM programming to all girls. This role is appointed by the GSNEO Board of Directors.

Volunteer Recognition Committee
The Volunteer Recognition Committee is responsible for expressing appreciation to all volunteers for their service to girls and adults in the furthering of the Girl Scout Mission, and especially to those volunteers who provivde outstanding service above and beyond.
Executive Committee
Members are composed of the officers of the board of directors and three members at large. The three members at large shall be appointed by the Chair of the GSNEO Board of Directors, from the members of the board of directors, subject to approval by the board of directors. The Executive Committee meets as needed when decisions are required between regular board meetings.
Audit/Risk Management Committee
These committee members assists the board in fulfilling its council fiduciary responsibilities. They oversee proper external review of the not-for-profit audited financial statements, as well as the organization’s risk management to include monitoring the internal control environment. Each member of this committee shall be free of any relationship that would interfere with her or his individual exercise of independent judgment.
Board Development Committee
The Board Development Committee is responsible for the identification and cultivation of a diverse candidate pool ensuring that GSNEO is led by dynamic individuals with the skills, influence, and experience necessary to carry out the council’s strategic priorities. Also identifies and slates the National Delegates representing GSNEO at GSUSA convention each triennium.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee provides support to the board in fulfilling its accountability for the financial affairs of the council, including compliance with governmental requirements. Committee responsibilities include developing long-range financial projections that incorporate sound assumptions.
Properties Committee
The Properties Committee assume responsibility for planning and oversight of the council’s physical property assets. This includes our camps, as well as the council’s four service centers.
Strategic Initiatives and Special Projects Committee
This committee is responsible for reviewing the quarterly dashboard reports and the annual work of the council, based on board-adopted goals and objectives as determined in the Strategic Planning process. The committee will also recommend long-range council goals and objectives, drive any strategic planning or other activities required to help shape the council’s long-range goals and objectives. The committee may be asked to work with standing and special committees and/or task groups and ad hoc committees as needed.
A.L.E. Committee
The A.L.E. Committee plans and delivers the annual Adult Learning Event (A.L.E.) and any year round A.L.E. events to support volunteer education.
Event Volunteer
As an event volunteer, you can participate in events, programs, and fundraising initiatives. You’ll share your talents, skills and expertise, and you’ll work with girls or behind the scenes with other adults.
